Hi! My names Jordan Wilford, I'm an illustrator that was born in 06/02/1997 and am from Cornwall, England. This is a site is a portfolio of my illustrated work from the last couple of years. I hope you enjoy my work as much as others have. Thanks!

I have always had a passion for fine art, specifically drawing and during my time at college this has grown into a vocation and become something that I would like to spend my career doing. I have been interested in drawing since a young age and have always spent my free time sketching and experimenting with different art styles. I have often leant towards Eastern styles of art specifically manga, bonseki but mostly Ukiyo-e. As is often the case with gamers of my age, I have grown up with manga and anime influences but this hasn’t always been enough for me and I have enjoyed researching the historical origins of these styles and in the past 5 years I have been actively experimenting with different styles in order to expand my portfolio and skill set.
Another area of interest for me is 2D animation. I have been working on my animation skills using Adobe Animate and Premier. I really like creating cut scenes for games in a motion comic style with strong non-verbal narratives and bold art styles. I’ve also enjoyed working with different musical scores and sound effects for my animations. I’ve also embraced retro gaming art styles and created a number of 16-bit style sprites. Whilst this has been a trend that has waned recent years on indie platforms, I still find that I am able to express myself and tell stories using sprites.
I enjoy writing stories and putting together original world’s and characters. I have created my own graphic novels and had really good feedback from both friends and lecturers. Whilst I am always busy with coursework and my part time job, I still find it necessary to have as many creative outlets as possible and I find it both relaxing and satisfying to experiment with ideas.
I have occasionally posted my work online to DeviantArt to receive others opinions and where to improve. I did this because the website had an enormous audience. Whilst having my work criticised, I enjoyed viewing others art so that I could hopefully improve.
I have been proud about how many people have liked my digital work online and the feedback they have given. It was a fun and helpful experience and I do not think I could have gotten as far as I am without their criticism.
I have had experience in working in teams in bar tending. I also have gotten social skills and have become more open with customers.

If you enjoy my work please refer back to the home page for my email address! I would love to hear any feedback.
